It must be a cruel mystery of life, a bitter twist of fate, for what else can explain my worst nightmares following me halfway around the world. Who would have thought seeing my own portrait taking life would be more than the failing eyesight of an egotistical old man? As my eyes, and subsequently my other faculties, leave me, these shall be my last words, for my efforts henceforth shall be towards containing the evil that led me here. The horrors that have befallen me have all but sealed my fate. No more, however. This shall end with me.
